Post Doctoral Research Fellow

Staff Member Details
Email: jinsoo.kim@ecu.edu.au
ORCID iD: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6038-6182

Co-lead, Exercise and Cancer Biology Research Group

Jin-Soo is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Exercise Medicine Research Institute and obtained PhD in Exercise Oncology. His research is centred around enhancing the efficacy and efficiency of exercise implementation in patients with cancer by investigating physiological mechanisms of how exercise influences tumour biology. His current focus of research is to understand the role of skeletal muscle-induced myokine in cancer suppression for a better implementation of targeted exercise medicine in patients with prostate cancer.

Jin-Soo completed his PhD at Edith Cowan University in Exercise Oncology. During his PhD course, Jin-Soo investigated exercise adaptation and the acute response in tumour suppression in patients with prostate cancer by examining circulating myokines. He completed his MSc at Seoul National University, South Korea.
