ACRISP and Rugby Australia offer new PhD scholarship

Monday, 22 July 2019

Since 2014, ACRISP and Rugby Australia have worked together to establish a strong injury surveillance program and annual reporting of injuries sustained in Sevens, Super Rugby and International players. We are now ready to take it one step further and maximise the outputs for athletes, coaches and medical staff.

We are excited to be able to offer a full time PhD scholarship to support a student through a research program. Alongside the surveillance project, there will be time to develop a research topic in an area of the student’s choice. This might be a clinically focused topic such as treatment or rehabilitation of a particular injury (for example muscle injuries are common) or developing a mechanistic understanding of injury (e.g. how exactly are the muscle injuries/concussion/joint injuries occurring).

Deadline for applications: 23 July 2019 for a start date in October
