Our service

Our services at the ECU Survey Research Centre include:

  • a flexible and customised approach to working with clients;
  • specialised knowledge of research and decision making processes;
  • a high level of expertise in the design, conduct and analysis of surveys; and
  • state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.

Our clients choose to work with us because we:

  • assist their decision making process with regard to the use of research methods;
  • assist in developing questionnaires, using Surveycraft and Voxco systems;
  • set up questionnaires in Surveycraft and Voxco systems, ready for Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI);
  • draw sample for any form of survey;
  • provide services of computer entry of data;
  • are able to conduct surveys using a variety of approaches including postal, telephone (local, country or interstate numbers) and field (using hand held computers, audio or video methods);
  • recruit focus groups;
  • provide in-depth personal interviewing;
  • store survey records;
  • co-ordinate, conduct and assist in the analysis of survey data and the production of reports in collaboration with academic consultation;
  • present research results by written report or oral presentation;
  • collect research data of the highest quality under best practice guidelines;
  • assist in monitoring, improving and standardising data collection methods; and
  • provide opportunities for the education and research training of postgraduate students who are required to collect data using population-based surveys.
